Patient of the Month

I came to Shasta a month ago with unexplained infertility and out-of-control asthma. I've never seen an acupuncturist. She made me feel very comfortable as did the office staff.

I had trouble sleeping, breathing, indigestion, caffeine-addiction and a sweet tooth. I'll admit I was nervous at first about being poked with needles. It didn't hurt at all. I actually felt this fantastic zing called qi or chi. After the first treatment I could breath, not hours later, immediately!!! That night I sleep well. I followed her food recommendations and continued my treatments as scheduled.

I have been going one month now and I am completely asthma free. I have not used my medication at all. I have been asthmatic all my life. In addition to losing weight I now sleep through the night. I have kicked that nasty caffeine habit and afternoon sweet tooth. I was supplementing my lack of sleep with sugar and caffeine. I have a whole host of other things I could list that Shasta has helped healed but for me she has not only healed the physical but the spiritual.

I had lost faith that I could get pregnant after two miscarriages in 2007 and 2008 followed by dry spell of trying but not getting pregnant for two years. The other day Shasta let me know that my pulse is slippery, which means in Chinese medicine that I'm pregnant. It's too early to confirm with a pregnancy test but I can feel my body changing. The early morning sickness is a clear sign to me too.
